Runners Who Read EP 11: Run to the Finish by Amanda Brooks

Amanda Brooks is an entrepreneur, inspiring author, and fellow runner. In 2007, she created the website RunToTheFinish.com to connect with fellow runners. It has since blossomed into a space where people can find coaching, gear reviews, and highly researched articles on a variety of running-related topics. As the founder of the popular blog "Run to the Finish," and through her Instagram page of the same name, she has cultivated a vibrant online community of runners who share their stories, support one another, and find inspiration in the shared love of running. Furthermore, through her Run to the Finish book, as we read these last 6 weeks, Amanda shares her personal experiences, insights, and practical advice, offering guidance to runners of all levels who seek to find fulfillment and success in the sport. But Amanda's impact extends beyond the pages of her book. In addition to her writing and online presence, Amanda is a sought-after speaker, coach, and mentor, dedicated to helping runners reach their full potential and embrace the transformative power of running.

In this fun conversation from May 2024, Olivia and Amanda discuss practical tips for strength training and injury prevention from her book as well as ways to overcome "real runner syndrome" and why Amanda dislikes the use of the word "jog" within the running community among other topics.
